It's about the survival of birth and the survival of life itself-about growing up and feeling like an outsider, never fitting in. It is a journey of healing old wounds and new ones, of confronting childhood traumas and fighting not to repeat the mistakes of parents and family. This is about moving through the darkest of times and growing with light in my heart, overcoming the bitterness I felt for what I'd been through as a child from the people who were there to protect me. I survived, and I still have love in my heart. I'm a good person. They could have destroyed me, but it made me stronger. This is a story of love and light.
